One of the common complaints is that the tires aren't scale for this car and that the spur gear often drags the track rails. Without getting into that can of worms, I wanted to do a little "real-world" testing. I found that Tiny Motors has made these new Speedway tires for these cars: Tiny Motors Speedway Tires

I outfit the rear of one of the Stockers with Tiny's and left the other one as it came out of the box. Neither set was sanded prior to this test.
The tires are very nicely made with virtually no flashing. There is a more Biased-Ply tire look to the tread, and both sidewalls are extremely clean.
After running both cars for 100 laps, here's the times:
Round 1:
Stock Mono Tires - Best Lap of 10.71, averaged 12.01
Tiny Speedway Tires - Best Lap of 9.75 , averaged 11.48
I decided to sand the tires next. I only removed enough of the tread to smooth them a bit and round off the edges slightly. I then rolled them over tape to clean them.
Round 2:
Stock Mono Tires - Best Lap of 10.49, averaged 11.36
Tiny Speedway Tires - Best Lap of 9.55, averaged 11.29
Observations: The Tiny Tires hooked incredibly well. Too well without weight! With the Tiny Tires sanded, I had a tough time keeping the car in the slot upon acceleration, such as when coming out of a curve. The car would litterally jump and pull the guide out of the slot if I HAMMERED it. That is traction! A little weight in the front would solve that, but I wanted the test to be dead even. The tires were smooth and drove great. Even though I could get the tail out in the corners, I had to work at it. Also, I noticed that they didn't fade away like the Mono tires did, and that my times at the end of the run were more consistent.
The big deal is that for those who have had issues with the spur dragging the track, here's proof that the Tiny Tires resolved that!

Overall conclusion: The Tiny Motors Speedway Tires are well worth the $5.00 per pair! Great traction, better width, height, and no more dragging your spur on the track. I give them two thumbs way up!
