I don't think I have said bad things on this site before because we do want to here positive things. I did say I would not buy the playboy Fly's and
now I will say that by the looks of things for 50.00 cash I can get a better value slot car , let see a slot-it. Sorry fly but those cars at the most look like
29.95 and that's on the high side.
I will continue to pay for the high end Fly's because they offer what I like, But these are over priced in my opinion ,and if you can't say nice things about how they look I guess I just wont say it!

Man, there's no point having a beginner car at pro prices.
But there is one place where they might be useful, and that could be as serious spec racers on high-speed tracks. I bet these can take a beating and still look the same at the end of the day.

Our LHS got 8 of these last week, and 8 white Slot.it's at the end of Thursday nights races.
All 8 slot.it's were gone. At a dollar cheaper which would you buy? I did take one of the Fly Poly's apart, and test it. As for the chassis, tires, motor, and performance it's the same as the normal Fly's. Just looks CHEAP! I'd say $34.99 would be a fair price. Not $49.99 |

Interesting comments on the spec class Kurt. You are right, they just might make an ideal car for that style of racing.

Hard to beat a Scalextric Audi TT for $24.95.... I'd be tempted to buy two for the price of these from FLY, or any SlotIt for the same price as these from
FLY.
Still... I have paid $16.95 for a Proslot Ferrari then dropped in another $7 for a motor, $17 for a SlotIt rear axle kit, another $9 for the matching front wheels, $4.50 for Indy Grip rears and roughly $4 for the zero-grip front tires. Sum of the parts being $58.45 I could maybe cut FLY some slack for these rides. Then again I doubt they will run as smooth as the one I built. On the other hand these certainly beat a $75.00 FLY F40 that I still have to put together myself then will only tear the pieces back off once I get to racing it hard. And... I like the look of the MoMo paintjob.

well they do look to be more durrable but very plane 30.00 would be a better price, they kinda remind me of the bachmenn cars.

Let me put it this way -- would you rather have four of these Momo cars, or one Momo Ferrari from Racer?
Would you rather have one of these, or one Slot. It? Would you rather have one of these, or one Scalextric of your choice? These cars lose just about every direct comparison you can make, price-wise. To buy these, you'd have to have a specific purpose in mind. "I'd like four so the kids can play with them on all four lanes." "I'd like 10 to run a spec series in the club." Ten Porsche EVO's? Yeah, I could see it in a spec series. Otherwise, these things are dead in the water.

The Spec car idea makes sense, to a point, as I've seen occasional, and noticable variations between 4 stock motored cars. The funny part about these is
that they are supposed to be 'begginer' cars yet all they have done, from the images, is dumbed down the details. I dont think the cars lose direct
price comparison at all. This is a standard FLY Porsche Evo with the mirrors removed. Buy the $34.95 Fast Kit and get the exact same car, with the same
mechanicals yet with better details.

Is this a precursor to life in the USA - high prices and lowend models only? I grew up in Canada - this was my life in the 1970s and 80s. If it goes like this,
the regular Fly cars will all be $75 and up...perhaps its only matter of time until Slot It costs $74.99 per car here in the USA...sigh...(Hint: buy now!!!)
