Ok folks...we are having a simple 2 race series this summer to begin the Artin Oval League. This will be our first season to see how things go and perhaps
expand this series Nationwide.

You know I'll be there. Might even have to build a couple of cars for the Bomber class now that I see we can use Boss Bodies.

I'll second that about Colton's Steak House being GRRRREEEAAATTT!!!! My favorite place to eat in Poplar Bluff and you can tell by looking at me that I

Leave it to me to ask questions!
I have a Monogram Firebird - same size as the Camaro, etc. Will this body be permitted? As for chassis cutting - can the chassis be lengthened or shortened (as the body might require)? The Firebird is not the body in question. The Monogram Corvette requires a shortened and narrowed chassis (yes, I have a Corvette bomber!) and some of the others might require lengthening. Any vintage body is listed...so yes.
Now why would you wanna make Vette when you have a cool Firebird? 
Go ahead and do what you have to to make it fit, it don't say you can't in the rules. Maybe the Vette has better Aero when it leaves the track
But I am going to work on the rules tomorrow. Just make sure everyone knows you HAVE to use an Artin chassis given it is an Artin race. "They Didn't Say You Couldn't" - Smokey Yunick

I don't particularly want to run the Corvette. The last time I had looked at the rules (a couple of days ago) they said the chassis could only be cut to
add nerf bars. Just wanted a clarification for everyone who might need to adjust chassis size.
Sounds like this should be a fun time. Look forward to it (if something doesn't come up like it usually does, to interfere with my plans.) Hoagie |
