The Fairlane is on a plain ole Professor Motor AMT repro chassis, with the stock 36D green can motor and Pro Tracs all the way around. Body is Tamiya Pure white, with a Testors "one coat" Blazing Red roof, scratchbuilt sheet plastic hood, modelking decals and about ten coats of Future. Wheel inserts are from the kit.
Fairlane, once the silicones wore in was very predictable and easy to drive. Didn't have big top end like the Falcon, but if you just let it lift briefly into the turn, let it take a set, you can mash it before the apex and really ride it hard on the way out, tail hanging out like Curtis Turner. It was getting around the track nearly as fast as the commercial Ninco 1/32 NASCARs that another guy was buzzing around and a lot more fun.
