Believe Harry when he says that tooling cost a good bit. I have personally researched it and depending on where its made (China or US) tooling for the body alone runs between 10-20K that don't include the actual production. Thats why you see the same car released with a different paint scheme. Companies have to get the most from each body they have tooled. I applaud SCW for having enough confidence this hobby to bring a great product. Recently I was given a tour of a local plastic injection molding plant. The guy showed me a machine putting out little caps that go onto 55 gallon drums. that are thrown away. The cost for producing these throw away caps was 82k. Thats when I realized that I need to learn to do resin casting.
