Wow, if you thought those cars were hard to do, it's because they were. Those are two of the most difficult car bodies to work with, unless you're
painting them a uniform color. You're a brave man, and that's a great effort! I hope those two cars don't scare you away from trying more.
So what's next in the Phacues paint booth?

Not sure whats next but I seem to enjoy it a lot. I have a few artin stockers around I might work with just to see if I can try out the waterslide decals. I
have the paper but I havent been brave enough to actually print just yet

There's lots of information in the painting section, but if you print your own decals, give the ink time to dry (I let it sit for about 2 days, but
that's just me). Then give it a clearcoat (or two) and let the clearcoat dry before cutting your decals apart to apply them. You'll be much happier
if you take those precautionary steps. It's fun, and I think you'll find (if you haven't already) that you'll get better with every project.
Which do you prefer -- doing your own paint schemes or duplicating existing cars?

doing my own schemes, dream up what I would want not what someone already has. Just my opinion
For instance with the Audi is going to be a Minnesota Vikings car. I'm from Philly but I'm a die hard Vikings fan. Thats where I have to practice on doing the decals so I can add them to it Thanks alot on the info with the decals. I will try it that way and look to see what others have done |

Yeah, when I saw the Audi, the first thing I thought was 'Minnesota colors'. Now that you've confirmed it, I'm sorry, I can't help you any
more.

Very nice work, here's one of mine | ||

I like the Audi. It'd be easy to see in a race and follow- something that's underrated by many people, especially if you have thick blended bifocals
like I do. The added bonus is you did it in team colors you like. A personal touch that's appreciated. And El Secundo is very correct- the Audi is a pain to paint. Here's mine, not quite finished. I need to get the rass-frassin' windshield mounted firmly and some chassis tuning and some (more like several tons of) lead in there somewhere. This brute is a non-mag Audi with 8/30 gearing and a 38K NSR King motor. A bit of an experiment. It runs well if you're quick and smooth. Almost as fast
as my Moslers, but the thing is scary. I'd bet someone with great reflexes could run the pants off this car on a fast layout with long straights. Like 50+
foot straights... ^_^

I've often thought about doing a St. Louis Rams car, so I can really appreciate the Vikings effort. But man....the Vikings....
You guys have already seen my Slot.It Audi, so I'm not gonna slap more pictures of it up here. I do like that olive green on the R8C body, though.
