Can these two cars be made digital? |
Lead | |

I have these two cars for sale in the For Sale or Trade section and someone asked me if they could be made digital. Since all I've ever messed with is
analog I have no idea so how about it, can they be made digital?
Thanks in advance for any answers, Big Mike Smokey Yunick quote "Bill France Jr. was born stupid and he got dumber every day" |

Big Mike,
I saw the post over on the For Sale board. I'm no expert on digital stuff since I only own a couple of Artin digital sets myself. However I do know enough to say that your questioner's query was too generic to give an answer. There are several digital systems out there, some easily transferable, some not. To provide that answer, you would have had to have a specific digital system in mind. Mike A |

YES from my understanding you can make any slot car digital, BUT it depends on your skill level. I know WWW.budshocars.com has the Carrera 132 chips available. As long as they fit in the car you should be good to go. 2nd According to the Carrera rep he told me that pro-x can be run on the 132 track."Because you can dumb the system down". You can't run both system together (One at a time) 3rd The new digital 143 "GO" car are not supposed to compatable with the 132 system. (I think that's stupid) at least at this time. That's what I've been told. So you won't be able to use their smaller chips in smaller cars (Like their chips in Indy cars). Mike |

bigmike312 wrote: Digital for which? SSD, N-Digital, SCX, or Carrera. I've digitized both for SSD, but they're very tight
which will make it very difficult for other brands. You might be about to stuff an N-Digital chip in there, but you'd have to be creative. No way SCX-D
and I don't think so for Carrera.
