Interesting.
Any plans for the same deal in 1/32 scale... with the 3/32 axles / wheels / tires? Quote: A line of English COPS!? |

Looking real good - I do like the adjustability y'all are building in as it gives several options
Speaking of options - nothing wrong with the Cheetah II motor if one has a good power supply, but a Fox II would be a good choice as an option for those using wall units. Also, if you can get Ortmann's as an option and hubless rims - that would be great. Not to mention a "Chinese menu" way of ordering one up??? Looking forward to its release...definitely think y'all have a winner!!! Larry - Funny how different minds work...I was thinking more on the lines of silicone Having Fun - Da Vols

Sorry about the miss spelling.
"Not to mention a "Chinese menu" way of ordering one up???" I think this would be very hard to get done. The rear wheels as an after market item will come with slip on rubber tires. There is the possibility of getting "Indy Grips" at a later date. I will have no control of what Ortmann does. for the motor we are testing a motor now that would be equal to the Cheetah II. We have a few people testing them now. At this time we have no plans for a 1/32 version as we feel that there are a few good Plastic and brass chassis in the market allready. |

As to the Chinese menu - basically I meant being able to buy say the bare chassis (say with guide and bushings/axles) as a package and then one can choose how to finish it off...just a thought.
Since the chassis has a wide range of wheelbase/track - was thinking Victor's TSP 1/24th clear bodies might be a nice fit if proper wheels/tires can be found. Does the "test motor" have the same amperage need as the Cheetah? Having Fun - Da Vols

I'm liking what I see....
Will be looking forward to getting some of these. And along the lines of Bruce's idea of the Chinese menu, could it be possible to buy these without the motor? I like running the Ninco NC5's in my Protracks. Brakes? Who needs brakes? They only slow you down...

Dimensions? Projected price? We'd definitely be interested if it were available as a bare chassis.

There will be no "bare chassis" for now. We have tried to make the chassis to fit the needs of as many people as we could.
The price will be somewhere under $40.00 and will come rtr. Hopefully this will be the start of a long line of products to come. The first item we will have will be Rear Rubber tires with wheels to replace the foam tires. The chassis will still come with Foam tires for now. The chassis is about the same size as the pro-track chassis. |

That's a good price. We've had good luck with foam tires on Artin track. We run Sprints Plus and Champion stock tires on the track, and they grip great. Shortest wheelbase?

Soooooo, when is someone going understand that oval track cars usally dont have smaller tires in front than they do in the rear? Sometimes the largest tire is the right front. It sure would be nice if a pre made chassis came with realstic tires all the way around.

Champion Legends and Modifieds are close. 4.5" wheelbase flexi cars are close.
