Motors will be grouped in two classes: Low power, including old, low power open frame motors, and Pittman DC-70X power, with more power. I am thinking a weight minimum of about 115 grams would be good. Modern equivalents to those old motors will be found, so we can build cars without trying to find old motors. When I do some testing with cars and weights, that will be posted here.
The lower power motors may be in full-fendered cars, and the high power motors in more modified cars with the fenders off.
There will be no restrictions on chassis type. Brass, aluminum and plastic are welcome. No magnets,please. These cars need to slide and only be moderately fast.
I would like to see a 3/8" max. tire width (12" in scale, which is about as wide as they got by 1967 or so).
Participation will be limited to about 18 cars, in order to keep it manageable.
