Posts: 142 (01/07/08 06:46 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None I just got my Carrera 132 Nascar set today and the one thing I noticed is that if you run the cars counter clockwise the lane changers wont work, yes before you say it, I did turn them around to run counter clockwise, lol. Is there anyway to get the cars to run counter clockwise and still have the lane changers working properly? I love the set and even got a pit lane with a couple section extensions. Thanks. Tom

Posts: 78 (03/10/08 12:26 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	i did get it to work and it's a blast. i ended up turning the black box around so the box itself was on the inside of the oval.switched the polarity switch and boom!. it works great. i've been out racing with my son all day and having the most fun since i got into this hobby. i weven figured out how to limit the speed of the cars as my nieces visited and didn't want any bloody crashes. they could floor it the entire time and not come off. best part is they had a lot of fun. the only downside is if i get a lap counter i won't be able to see it (it will be upside down as i assume it has to be on the same side as the black box) but i'm waiting to get the pc interface deal when it comes out. this was the deciding factor in getting digital 132. that, and i really like the longer lc's. i highly recommend it (if you couldn't tell ) tim

I went to the Carrera site and looked at all the D132 stuff but still have a few questions about it. First off I have much Carrera track so thats not problem, I would just buy a set and use what I need. My questions are this, 1. can you use more than two lane changers or is that the limit of the system. Do you need more than two, would anymore be a overkill. 2. Can you use a better power supply with some horsepower to it. 3. I heard that eventually the new electronic Slot-it controllers will work on digital tracks, anyone know about this, because my thumb quit working back in the 60's. And since I am The Lone Racer this ghost car has me really interested, (you should see what I do to get a car to run fast by itself now.) Does it just motor around at a even speed or does it speed up on long straights and slow down for corners or am I just having wishful thinking. Thanks for any answers. David

Each lane changer draws a small amount of current so it is best use them somewhat sparingly around the track. I would think around 6 lane changers would be good for most medium to large size layouts. The D132 power base is limited to 5 amps and it is best to use the stock power supply. You can hook up an aftermarket power supply with more amps but you risk damaging the D132 power base. Slot It will be releasing a digital version of the SCP-1 controller which will be compatible with D132, N-Digital, SSD and SCX Digital. The ghost cars run at a constant speed and randomly change lanes. You can program the speed that the ghost cars run which allows you to run them as fast as you can on your layout without coming off the track.
