New member to the site race mostly 1/43 scale & some 1/32nd. What started out as an SCX set for my son at X-mass morphed into a full blown obssesion. We
curently race on a 4 lane set up on a 5 x 12 table. Full color coded drivers station lap timer 2000 to screens scenery etc etc. It's not a nice as a wood
routed track but for our needs it's perfect!

Nothing wrong with that...that is one nice layout you have there. I like how you made the borders. Looks like a great setup to me.

I have finally gotten round to joining after having been browsing the board for quite a while.
I am probably the archetypical, stereotypical 21st century slotter: used to race 1/32 cars in the sixties, searched the internet for slot car links and got active in the hobby again in August last year: just about exactly a year ago! I live in Richmond, BC in Canada and am fortunate enough to be able to race on the master track builder Luf's (Oldslotracer) Targa track on a regular basis. My car collection has grown scarily fast: seems I cannot resist pretty cars, preferably ones that strike some historical/nostalgic chord. So I now have like 75 cars of which 1/3 are shelf queens and 2/3 get raced, whether they are really competitive or not! Example: I used a stock Scaley Ferrari 250GTO on a recent Targa car race night: OK, so I got creamed, but boy, was it fun! Love the hobby!! Alwyn |

Hello, I have been lurking here for a few months now, but this is my first post. I live in southwest Ohio and have a 100' Carrera track modelled on Monza
in Italy I built early in 2008. Got hooked up with a LHS and he was able to steer me in the right direction. Once I learn how to attach pictures, I'll post
some for those who are interested.

I have edited out the pictures in this post to eliminate download data so the page can load faster.
For those who are interested, this link will take you to a thread with pics and description of my Monza layout. Note it is photo intensive. http://homeracingworld.yuku.com/topic/17228 Matt

I thought I was looking at my track until I noticed the detail.
Test track for home racing 1/32. The DiSlot I use records to .0001. Looking to complete an installation of SRM2 and have both. Slot Race Manager 2 is a free management system that you can load your car inventory and record how many miles you put on their little odometers
It also time to .001 which I find is usually close enough anyway,
thanks for posting, your track looks great and I hope I get a chance to race on it

WOW Matt, you should post the track in the home racing layout design forum. That way more people will see them!!!

the same language.I have been looking for a place like this to share my views and my ideas and i guess i probably found the best place to do it.
