What does this mean? Well, we'll be moving posts around to the places they should be. If you are posting repaints, scratchbuilts, etc. we'll put them there. If you're selling anything, we'll be moving that into the For Sale area. If it is general slot car stuff, we'll leave that in the 1/32 area. This is something we've been meaning to do for a long time, it's just finding the time to do it. The problem is that new folks can't find pertinent info due to the 1/32 areas becoming a catch-all. If you have any suggestions, or would like help with something, reply to this thread, and we'll be happy to help. We plan on getting started late Saturday evening. Thanks! How about a section for all the O/T stuff that somehow finds it's way into the 1/32 board? I don't usually read any of it, but the people who do should have it available... ...just not in the 1/32 section.

That way it stays in one place. We would have to have rules though, or those tend to get very out of hand quickly. We'll let Harry make that call. Good suggestion. I can't think why anyone would ever skip it. I object to your moving it, and I predict that if you do it anyway, it will die, and an important part of our community will be lost. The fact that you plan for it to be available somewhere else doesn't mean that people will use it in a another place. The people with whom these snipets of off topic info are intended to be shared are the people we are close to here. If you have to go somewhere else to do something spontaneous, it isn't spontaneous anymore, is it? Please rethink this bad decision and leave it alone. It doesn't need fixing.

More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	As long as the forum doesn't turn into certain other forums, I am OK with the status quo - I don't mind OT threads...but yes, the for sale stuff should go somewhere specific and same with routed track comments, scratrch bulds, etc...bt posting a picture of your fave or newly built track or car should still stay in the 1/32 section...its why I like this forum so much. But I am just one voice...whatever you choose, I am along for the ride. Cheers, Mike

This is not meant as a major change to HRW, it is simply some fall cleaning. The Bench Racing lounge is open for business. That is easy enough to find to talk with friends, exchange recipies and gardening tips, etc. The HRW 1/32 forum is where any newbie is going to go first in order to find info and help. Why should they have to scroll through 2 pages of football scores, opinion polls about the color of the sky, and the like? If you are showing off your latest cool photo of your repaint, sure put a post in the 1/32. If it's not, and you're posting something you did that's for sale, put it in the For Sale. Heck, put 2 posts up, 1 in the 1/32 with no sale info, and a full-tilt ad in the For Sale section. If you want to see where this works, look at the HO and 1/43 forums. Those guys keep all of their stuff in 1 place and they keep it fairly tidy. Good job there! Again, I think as mods, we're here helping the gent that owns the site, and at this point, we're just trying to get a few things cleaned up to make it easier for folks. There is for sure some stuff that doesn't need to be in 1/32 forums. Anybody who just wants to post about the weather or their latest divorce, sell used cars, or just hang out & BS (Be Someone) can go there & party down... But what are we going to do with "Slot Burgers"?... Oh, yeah, I forgot... eat them & smile...

How about cleaning the for sale or trade section, 20 pages of stuff that has been sold or traded long ago. Or do away with these polls, they are getting ridiculous lately.
