Well, she has arrived! I have been chomping at the bit waiting for this kit and I can easily tell you know I am very happy.
First, you need to know that several kits have been issued as you already know. Each kit in slightly different forms. Some pre-painted with little assembly like mine. Some a full blown blank kit like David has posted.
So after unpacking, here is what we have:

I am liking this. Check out these decal sheets! You could make so many different varieties of cars from these sheets. This really adds to the value of the kit. The official release kits are planned to use 3 to 4 sheets like the ones you see here. I know already that many of you see the added value in having extra decals.
Next, let us look at this body.

Some of you may like a plain white car, but I like these pre-painted bodies. Why? Because I am not that good of a painter. I like seeing the car in this form with the chrome trim finished and the base color ready for me to apply decals.

I like how the hood is still flat black. Of course, that is just me. A coat of clear will shine it up it that is how you like it.
Now the interior...

Personally I like having it assembled and painted. It would much easier for me to quickly change the paint color on my driver helmet/suit to match a theme a wanted rather tham spend a day or two trying to paint the entire interior.

I like the level of detail that David has shown already and see no reason to change a thing.

Time for the chassis!

One item some of you will like is the pre-drilled lubrication points in the bushings. This is very nice to see. Add some of your favorite oil here and the small hole acts sort of like a "well" that helps hold some of the lubricant. It also makes sure it is getting where it needs to be.
It comes assembled with the wheels pre-painted. Again, there will be color options in other kits.

The wheel detail is very good to my eyes.
Overall I am very happy. The body looks fantastic along with the interior and wheels. Decal selection could not be much better either.
Time to start getting it together and making it look the part.
Thanks to Jules at Pioneer for sending this and other models to enthusiasts here for testing.
It shows you CARE about our market and also willing to listen. I think Pioneer is going to be a MAJOR player in our hobby because they are listening to what we are asking for on this side of the big mud puddle.
Part 2 Coming Soon! (Let's hope I don't mess these decals up!)
