Before anyone can say anything, allow me to say that my Slot Car News Motor List reports manufacturer's or distributor's claims. If I tested the
motor myself with a tach or torque device, it is now printed on the SCN Motor List in red. Even though those
motors are cited in red in Vince's post, they are not in red on the list, and I didn't test them.
But, I do have a H&R Racing Lightning on hand, so I'll spin it up and report back. Sorry, no Falcons in these parts.

The H&R Racing Lighnting turns 41,495 RPM after about two minutes of running on 12 volts, unloaded. This in an unused motor, taken from storage. I lubed
both bearings first. It was tested in the CCW direction, as that was the fastest.

In the past we had run the H&R Lightning against the falcon 7, same pinion, same crown in our 1/24 scale hardbody nascar class which we no longer run in
our club. The H&R motor was no match for the falcons. On a 5' x 16' oval the falcons easily outran the H&R motors. I swear by the Falcon 7 and
the Falcon 2, great motors. Results may vary......

The only constant about these things that I am sure of is that the one I have is always the slower one.
