I ask, because both systems use the same base track. I don't have any connectivity issues caused by the track needing to be 'really, really clean'. On Carrera, you do need to have power taps every 15-20 ft or so. Doubly true with digital. If you go beyond a base, stock set, you'll need a power tap in front of every lane changer. That isn't so much a cleanliness issue. It's just the nature of Carrera track (and many other plastic track systems). It's possible your clean issue was related to the amount of slide cars get on dirty, smooth, Carrera plastic? That would be the same, since the basic track pieces are identical. The ghost cars are a nice feature. Big plus for D132 is that each car has an adjustable max speed, adjustable braking, and (if you get the pit lane) adjustable fuel tank size. All of those can be used for handicapping drivers, or for making cars more driveable.

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Thanks for the reply.Yep all of my old Pro-X stuff is gone..I heard somewhere that you can now hook up the lap counter to a computer ?The one problem I had before was the small display on the lap counter.Did find out that you can have some fun,even on a so-called smaller track with the digital. The issue I seemed to have was that the longer I had the pro-X ,the slower it ran.May be something I was doing,or not doing.I tried to keep the braids clean and the track.Don't get me wrong,I'm not down talking Carrera,I like their stuff,just trying to find out what issues ,if any are still on going.. Thanks Rusty Yes, you can hook the lap counter to a computer. It really adds to the fun of racing. If you get that far into it, ask again and I'll point you to a cheaper alternative than the Carrera PC unit.... Again, I don't have electrical issues with my D132 track. I do have power taps installed, and once I decided to build a permanent layout, I coppertopped it.
