LMS/ALMS cars are here |

I have been away for so long that I lost track of what's going on in this forum. Anyway, I have finally got hold of the cars (not opened it yet) and will
race them as scheduled. I have been busy for the last few months doing other things that I hope to be back with slotcar racing with the LMS/ALMS series. I also
apologize to those who have sent me e-mails that I was not able to answer. Times are tough but will always find time to do slotcar racing again in the next
week ahead. By the way, I will be racing the cars in my Carrera slot car oval track since my regular track was dismantled three months ago when I started
finishing my basement. In a couple of weeks a will have the basement finished and I will again build another track that I hope will be better than the last
one. Good to be back.

Glad to hear you're doing OK Martin. Looking forward to the next race. It's been some time since the last one.

Glad to "hear" from you Martin. I hope all is well.
Since the LMS/ALMS was designed as a non-oval series, I strongly suggest we cut the number of laps to 15 with the top ten being counted in each lane. Since most of the cars were designed with a road course in mind, I think this will save the motors, particularly at the end of the series, which were meant to be "breathed/cooled" by not having long stretches of straightaway constantly. 2 of my cars were mailed to you yesterday and should arrive before the scheduled date of the start, 18 July. Thanks for the update, and again hope all is well. |

I disagree about changing the rules mid stream. They were put out there before the series. What the heck are you doing, Chuck. Run 'em til they don't!
Maybe just run one lane. That's all that should be needed for any proxy anyway. But cutting laps ain't the way to go IM (not so) HO.

Well, first of all it was my mistake. I thought I could finish my project (basement) a lot faster so I could re-build my track but it wasn't meant to be.
Anyway, if oval is not an option for this race then I will build a temporary road course track to race the cars. Let me know what you think.

If you want to build a temporary road course that's fine, or just shorten the number of laps on the oval. There are several of us in a very close race in each class and I want it to be fairly done as the rules state, despite MOTS statement which is in concert with his handle.
Besides, aren't all home courses some what "temporary"?
Mine was on a bedroom floor for a year, and HPR has been redesigned constantly and is right now being changed!
