Glue Advice for Vintage Model Cars???

I have been advised that I should not use Cyano glues on these older plastic cars. Is that correct? If so, what glue would you reccomend for assembly?

I have been unscathed several times when other cars have slammed into mine, or I slam into someone else. In our rotor motor class, its a war from beginning to end, and many times a deslotted car gets mashed because there's no time to marshal it before another car comes by. There ain't no learnin' in the second kick of a mule...
