I thought it was an old Cox Formula 1, but it would have to be incomplete and busted, I guess.

Greetings, it is a Dynamic Chassis. The good news is that with some shimming you can fit Fox type motors in them. Both of the cars pictured below use the
type of chassis pictured.

Yep. It's definitely a Dynamic chassis. End bell mount. Not sure of motor it would use. Very popular in the mid to late 60's.

If the guide tongues are broken, it's fairly easy to make a new one from a strip of brass. Dynamic used to sell a brass tongue, but today it's quite
rare & apt to cost you more than the rest of the chassis did.

Crud, I thought it was a COX F1 but the mind is failing on those issues.

I'll almost bet that's a 12 gram weight on the guide flag. I think Classic used to make them, along with several other assorted weights.

Dynamic chassis for an inline Mabuchi FT-16 endbell-drive motor. The Phillips-head and pan-head screws are wrong, because the Dynamics were supplied with
flat head, countersunk screws that fit flush with the underside.
I found this on EJ's site:

I have one of these in the original packaging....two actually, one's an inline (like yours) and the other is a sidewinder. It says on the packaging that
it uses a Pittman 6001 can, although I'm sure there's other stuff around that'll work too.
