Yep bought some last monday. I believe I said something about it earlier this week but I could be wrong. July 20 I plan on being at the Iowa Speedway in Newton Iowa to watch some racing and meet Matt Kenseth in person and get him to autograph my SCX nascar for me. If he will do it that would be one of my biggest dreams and I would have the first autographed slot car that I know of.
GOTTA SLOW DOWN TO GO FAST!

Unless I send you one of my #17 SCX cars to have him sign...then WE would have the first autographed slot cars from Matt ;-)) ![]() |

Just thinking about the clearance. Other than the cars, is there anything in that figure 8 Tuner set that I could use with my Artin sets?

Buspor63 Have you thought of having a second track? The Racing in the City set is small and only has 9 peices of track so it's easily put up or taken down.
It is 12v but artins run on it with no problems and the figure 8 is fun.
If anyone has a SCX 43rd lap counter they don't need let me know. |

Wiped out the Wimington, NC Target today. Got all the Tuners. That's $5.595 per car with tax. Love it!
Busport, Farmnurd has a good idea.

I got the tuners in CT for $7.48 per two pack. That's $3.74 per car.
I just hope this doesn't mean they aren't selling well. |

The Target still has the sets, cars and extention packs for the regular price here in Milford, CT. Bummer. I'll go check the Orange store.

It depends on local market demand. They move OK in Wilmington. Obviously, not as well in Mike's location in CT.
I may make all my $'s back by selling a set on EBay.

I left 4 packs of Tuner cars in the Nashua, NH Target. $10.48 per pack..no sales tax in NH.
Two Tuner packs, and the last NASCAR pack left with me, along with a modified motor for those RC cars they sell right next to the SCX cars. Don't recall the name but I figured I'd give the motor a try. A nine volt battery across the leads causes a few slow rotations, then it stops. I'm guessing the circuitry attached to the motor leads is doing something, so that'll all be removed when I get a chance to operate on it. The Tuners will likely end up as donor chassis' for something else. I have a Speedracer friction car from Big Lots that is crying for a motor and guide! dennis |

They were $10.48 in Windsor, CT too. Interestly enough, all the sets & the expansion sets of straights were gone. Only Tuners were left (I bought the
last NASCARs when they marked them down to $15) & now there are only a few left on the shelf. I wish I knew who was buyning all the sets locally since it
would be nice to have others to race with?!

This seems to be working out to be a good move. I am noticing HO people on other boards giving them a try because of the prices.

I went to the local Target (45 minutes away) last night hoping to find some of the new stuff - all I found were 3 tuner car packages left at $7.50 a pop. So I
bought them all to help encourage them to get the new stuff in stock.
Like eeprof said - it would be nice to know who was buying all this stuff! |

Finally got my butt to one of the local Targets. There were no sets, extentionn packs or NASCARS. I did pick up a couple of packages of tuner cars. I have
some DT trucks and stockers that I hope to putu uner them. Is there a good replacement for the tuner wheels for stock cars?

I'd say use overlays or inserts as the tires are the same, and I don't think there are any replacement NASCAR wheels for either SCX or Carrera.

All the Targets around my house (6) are mostly out so if you have been putting off buying some, you had better get going!

Just cleaned out the last three 2-packs of tuners from our local Target. Were 3.74 per pack. Pack of four turns was 2.98. Even the R/C-type Radline motor
3-pack was 3.50. Looks like Target is dumping the SCX Compact line.
Since I'm just about out of Artins, the SCX setups will help, I 'll probably scavenge a couple for the small size motors. Wish I could get wheels/tires for the SCX axles other than the tuner 19" w. low profile meats!

Went to the one Target I knew of that I had not checked today at lunch; the selves were completly bare. I was a bit irate that I had wasted almost $3.00 worth
of gas for nothing, so I poked around and started checking the ends of the isles (they call them the endcaps) because that's were they typically put
clearence items. Then on the bottom of one employees cart I noticed a set, I asked him if it was spoken for he said no just waiting to restock it! I grabbed
it! $10!!!!!!! Schwingg!! Not a wasted trip after all!!
Nerf, they are not dumping the line, just clearing out for the restock with more goodies next week!
