Bruce:
I'll be right behind you in line. I'm into road racing, and I haven't been this excited about a new release since reentering the hobby. I'll not be going to Petit Lemans this year in exchange for a pair of 'em.

Call me a sheep but I'm lovin the DP cars too and if they are priced 'ok' I'll be in line for them as well. Also... that 250 Ferrari? I've
been tempted on SO many levels to suck it up and fork out the cash for the Racer version. I know FLY might not have the Racer detail but that's ok if I can
buy one for $69.99 instead of Racers $259.99 for the car.

A Sunoco Donohue Porsche 911? Brilliant! Can a Porsche 917/30 be far behind?

The full retail price for a "standard" Fly car is $79.99. At least for now.

The 250LM is cool but the Sunoco 911 RS is hard to ingnore, the car almost won the 24hours of Daytona.

Fly vs. Racer (Sideways) Daytona Prototype | ||
SJSlots wrote: Reportedly, the Sideways version (by Racer) is supposed to price at or slightly above slot.it pricing. Even slightly above should be no more than standard Fly. Using slot.it mechanicals, I would expect the Sideways car to be a very good runner otb. Gets my vote. |

Yeah, but check that Ferrari 250LM!
No Piper wide rear fenders there. This is the original 250 LM as raced at Le Mans, 1965, wire wheels and all. I am expecting a wee bit oversize on the width, like the 250 GTO. That does not bother me. I also expect a simple sidewinder like the Porsche 906, but I am just guessing. This car will give fits to the modified R-M Daytona Cobras and Corvette GS's, not to mention Porsche 904's. The yellow car blew a tire, which tore up the right rear fender. That is one detail I think they will leave out. There is plenty of choice in paint for these cars, too. |

Tom - Thanks to having one of the top slot retailers in town I never pay 'standard' retail for a FLY car. plasticar wrote:
Yeah I was referring to the Ferrari 250 LM pricing between FLY and Racer... not the DP cars. If Racer prices the DP cars right I will be MORE than happy.
