WELL; I just lost out. There was one set on E-Pay and I lost it to a First Time Buyer. I had set a limit on what I could bid; BIG MISTAKE. To make the story
short He ended up Payin $165. Which was a good price considering how Scares these are.

I've got a set, new in the box, that I dearly love, but don't run it. When the price limit hits $200. I'll sadly part company.

Rick S,
If you really want one..... Call G-Scale Trains in Waldorf, Maryland. I lost their number. Google them. They had one last time I looked. Frank

As of a minute ago Pendleslot had one for 65 pounds - less if you remember to ask for the VAT to be taken off.

Thanks to the generosity of a good slotcar bud in Cincinatti (thanks again Dan), I was able to purchase this set extremely reasonably
.
These beauties are off-limits to all my beer-swilling buddies
I only take them out when my amazingly adept 8 yr-old nephew comes to visit, as a matter of fact he was here last night with his car-bashing 10 yr-old sister (she has her own car, an indestructable Scaley Audi TT, she has dubbed "The Blue Jellybean"). Shane said, as I placed the Eagle in his lane, "Uncle Stephen, these cars are really special, so be careful."
The kid really gets it!

ddyke wrote: -------------------------------- $130 bucks is actually a really good price. I wonder what shipping and insurance runs?... as that changes things. Hopefully it might just be balanced out by not paying the VAT... Now you're tempting me to buy another set. One I can run, without feeling guilty about crash & bashing it; and one to hold for posterity.

I've ordered from Pendle on many occasions and shipping and insurance (the latter not need IMHO) is negligible, something to the tune of $10-15. They will
also remove the VAT without you having to ask.

They also give 10% off to paying members at Slot Forum - which is about what you would save on your first order.
