Jerry Cook started his racing career at the age of 13 as a car owner with driver Ken Meahl behind the wheel. When he was old enough he climbed behind the wheel in 1963, a year he also won his first feature at New York's Utica-Rome Speedway. Winning races on both dirt and asphalt, Jerry went on to win the NASCAR National Modified Championship 6 times including 4 straight from 1974 to 1977 even racing against the likes of Richie Evans. After Cook retired from racing in 1982 he became a NASCAR Official and currently is NASCAR's Competition Administrator.
I scratch built the chassis and used a stock parma Super 16d motor, and the hardbody parts from an AMT 37 Chevy Early Modified kit.The front tires are from the rear of a H&R Chassis, and the rears are Parma drag tires. I also used resin inserts for the wheels.
