None of the 3D views work for me, running my older Rotten Apple, iMac... I think that the operating system is OS 10. something, "Tapir". Too bad
too, I would have liked to have seen some of these past posts.

Hi Greg,
I just started my oooooold iMac (the first version of the iMac ever produced by Apple) running OS 9.1 (192MB RAM) and Netscape 4.7 with the Quicktime Plug-in 6.02: all the QTVRs worked fine!!! Are you sure you have Quicktime installed? For some days the new Quicktime version 7.4.5 is available on the Apple website. |

It does look really nice... hope it comes with the NC-5 and not the 6.

I've got a slot load iMac & recently installed 10.2 as the 9 versions don't work with this yuku site at all... 768 ram & Quicktime 6.5.3. I can get the opening picture with no problem, I just can't make it rotate or whatever it is that it does.

Early Arrivals - Super GT Lexus 430s!!! | ||
|
One of my buddies over in the UK just sent me the pair of new Lexus SC430's!! WOW, NINCO did a fabulous job on these cars!!
Eclipse - The red, silver, black strips and tampos are clean and crisp on the white background. White 18in (Megane style) rims and a NC-5 motor Zent - The red stripes, silver, black and red tampos are outstanding on the black and silver background. The black and silver background makes for a very interesting contrast to the car. The Zent comes with 18 in 6 spokes and a NC-5 motor. I like it very much but I seem to be favoring the white Eclipse.
Both cars finishes are outstanding and detailed. Some of the most noticeable improvements are the rear wing. It's a one piece and it's very sturdy. The chassis is your typical AW chassis with a lot more reinforcement and it's very flat. Also interesting with the chassis is the molded exhaust pipe outports. The body has openings just in front of the rear fenders. The outports add a nice detail and still have enough room to allow for some body float. I think the most interesting change about this car is the new front and rear tires. They are obviously from new molds like we've seen from Slot.it. The side walls are very flat compared to the standard slicks that show off a bulged side wall. The new tires have no NINCO branding on the side walls and seem to be made from a different composite. I'm not sure if it's the increase mass of the side walls, but these tires feel less elastic. Both cars come with 18 in front and rear rims. I pulled out a set of 17 in BBS's… both of the new tires had no problem snapping up to the slightly smaller hubs. Having no NINCO branding on the tires, we may need to see a modification to the sanctioned regional/world cup rules.
I'll spend some time prepping the cars this Memorial Day weekend. I did run them for a few laps… very typical and stable right out of the box. I can't want to see what they really can do against the rest of my stable… Mosler's, Ascari's and Ferrari's.

Nobbit - Thanks for the motor clarification. This makes me happy.
Ricky - Great info and much appreciated. I'll be waiting to hear more about tire performance. I wanted the NC-5 in this car to make it a close performing car with other similar GT's in the line up but if the new tires increase any performance I guess I'll refit the car with older NINCO rubber.

RickyBobby, how come your cars have orangey headlamp covers? Both of mine have clear.

Matt,
That was a aftermarket upgrade... I painted them before I took the pictures. Nice catch... I'm glad someone is paying attention...Look's pretty good, don't you think? RickyBobby #26 |

After the last Mosler came out with the NC-6 I thought all the new releases with the exception of the classics, were going to have the NC-6 in them. WRONG!!
The new Lambos, Porsches and others still have the excellent NC-5. One of their best motors ever.
Tom
BTW, I'm sure the Lexus runs great like most of the Ninco offerings, but it's. . . well. . . it's just an ugly car, IMO.
I lost a lap, can I have one of yours?

Hey Tom... Harry's Review of the new Lambo actually proved it has the NC-6...
something I wasn't thrilled to see. I was more hopeful it had the NC-5 to be more closely matched with my other NC-5 equipped GT class cars.

You're right Shawn, and I knew it did, I just forgot. When you get to be 107, these things happen!!
I wonder how they choose which car to put the NC-6 in and which to put the NC-5 in? Tom

I wondered that exact same thing when they started dropping NC-6's in to the street-based Tuning Series cars. That made zero sense to me.
