On Saturday June 7th; T/R Motorplex (Miamisburg, OH - south of Dayton, Oh and 20-30 miles north of Cincinnati) will host it's first 1/32 races. The
classes will be SCX Nascar (stock); SCX Formula 1 (stock); and Scalextric Trans-Am (L88 Corvette, Mustang, Camaro + add Indy Grip silicones). The races will
be $5 per car entered with payouts for each race (only $15 for 3 races). This is a BYOC event. We thought that keeping it stock (or very very close to it)
would encourage more participation, particularly for those new to 1/32 slotting. They also run a Parma Womp class on Friday nights.
The store opens at Noon, the 1st race will go off at 1pm. They have a new 8 lane routed windsor track (lazy figure
. I know T/R and Bullitt are partners
for their drag racing programs so it would be nice to get something like that going for 1/32. For those that are used to going to Fast Lane in Cincinnati, T/R
is approx 30 more minutes of drive time up I-75. The store is a few miles off the highway and very easy to find. If any of you guys could make it up for the
race that would be great. I know the plan is to do some enduro racing in the future, and I will be putting together the 'one-off' races that I used to
put together at Fast Lane.
FYI the plan is to build a 6 lane Ninco road course in the very near future...hopefully in time for a Ninco Regional race. I've designed a track already (i'll post pics), now it's just a matter of making it happen. It would be nice if he could buy Catalunya from FL but I fear it would cost prohibitive.
