Just saw this over on Slot Car News...

Man, that Mach5( or 6... 7... 19... whatever) looks cool.
Fantasy cars are not my thing however I did build my son a Lighting McQeen car. He will actually ask to race it. So I would probably consider the Racer Mach5 should they decide to market them just to keep him interested.

I bought an RC Mach 5 from Wally-World for $10. It's closer to 1/24 than 1/32 but I think I can make it work.

That is a good lookin car.. Not the movie car which imho is good. picture that car all red and it would look cool
Anyone can restore a classic car, but it takes a real Hotrodder to cut one up and make it cool!

correct for across the water, but the Speed Racer I group up with and photos from the new movie, he drove on the other side. Just my 2c, but if your gonna do

I believe that Racer just used their pre-exsisting Ferrari 350 and gave it a repaint, but that is still a cool ride!

That is SO NOT a Mach5!! I love the body but it aint a 5. Looks closer to the RacerX car in the cartoons. hmmm.....repaint.

Of course you did Mark, you're the Chaparral Nut aren't you? I do agree with you though. When I first glanced at this Racer model I thought it was
a Chaparral too. Then a closer inspection revealed to me that this is indeed a model of a Ferrari 350/P Can-Am racer. One that has been re-liveried,
It's funny but until Racer painted it refrigerator white I never noticed the resemblance this Ferrari model had to any Chaparral. Just goes to show
what a little color and tampo print can do for first impressions.
