I wonder if it is a "red army" knockoff of Carrera?

It could be. The Mustang and the track size caught my eye.

Hello Jeff,
I'm inclined to agree with Dan. They (the sets) look a lot like Carrera to me with "Go" sized cars. Won't know for sure until you get your hands on a set but if it is a knock off of Carrera track at an affordable price point you could have yourself a real winner in terms of sales. Carrera track is very expensive and so far does not mate up with any other brand except through adaptors. Let us know what you find eh? Live Long & Prosper, David. |

I wonder if this is Cartronic track, which makes track (it appears to me) which looks exactly like Carrera track, but which has different track connections
(which look like they go together much easier than regular Carrera track). I have been looking to pick up some of their track (I haven't found a source in
North America), to see if I could modify to match to my Carrera tracks, to have locations in my layouts which snap together easily (I love my Carrera tracks,
but when you are trying to put together 6-lane high-banked tracks, with the offset crossovers I use (which means I have to line up all 12 tabs for the six
lanes to slide together at one time, which is even harder when it is elevated, and when you have to "stretch" the layout for more challenging
configurations), it can cause you to lose all your humanity). Check to see if it is Cartronic track, maybe even private labeled, or some other track that is
still compatible with Carrera lane spacing. Can you tell us where to find the track sets you saw?

I spent all last night trying to find out more info. I went back and forth with 3 different people and no one as of yet can give me any additional info other
than the shipping info. I can't get the name of the manufacturer, more pictures or anything. But I will kep you posted.

Well I got a picture of the back of the box. As soon as I can get photobucket to work I'll post it. The track is not 1/24. It appears to be the same track
as old 1/43 Artin or 1/43 Jiada. It has track clips that attach to the sides like Jiada does. It has the same accessories as Jiada. the main difference I see
is that the curves have borders built in. The controllers and power base are also different. The only thing that sets this set apart is the Mustang. I may try
to buy a sample case just to see how the cars run. I'm always interested in different sets.
