Ah. A 1966 Corvair Corsa with a 265 V8 in the back?

No, it's the former Lib Trib '61 Corvair mini--stock. It's a Marx soft plastic body cut down for mod style. Have a scale chevy large block in the
parts bin; must work on hood area. Gonna build a '36 Ford jalopy tribute for Liberty.
Rick Lugg will pilot this machine. Paoli Auto Repair and Lapp Lumber will be the chief co-sponsors. Nerf

Another jewel from the fertile mind of Butcher Barz, the plastic mangler | ||

Ain't much Corvair to it, is there. I have seen Pintos, Chevettes, Vegas....never seen a modified Corvair, nice job. In 1983, a friend of mine bought a 66
Corvair with a 454 race motor and a chute on the back. Had lights, signals, wipers, horn and a license plate. Ran 10.0 quarters. Ran faster from the cops. They
did not like it as much as we did. Did you know it is against the law to throw out the laundry on a public thoroughfare? No matter how fast you were going and
how badly you needed help stopping? They claimed they could not see where they were going....hey, they wanted us to stop....we stopped. His wife made him sell
the car

Sounded like a keeper to me---the Corvair. Bet she's sorry it's no longer in the family.

I'm honored, Nerf!
That's gonna take a lot of choppin' to make a cervair look like a '36 ferd! |

![]() ![]() Stranger!
Nice, Tom! ![]() ![]() Lib!
Corvair story. My '66 had a Yenko Stinger Phase III package (disguised race car). Cop hits the "You win a free prize" lights and I just stop. Slides by me doing probably 40 MPH. Stopped, backed up(!), came to the door and said "If you can stop that quick, I ain't given you a ticket for 12 over. Have a nice evening, young man.". I'm still in shock.

Not in '66 Nerf. It followed The Colonel and it was OM Enterprises then.

Stranger, check the bottom of p.26 of the above link to see a Corvair-bodied modified. Site takes a few minutes to load but it'll be well worth it! Nerf
