I think they will be re-priced correctly, as all of you suggest - a year from now when they are priced at $20 in the "Clearance" sections of slot car
retailers everywhere.

I have over 150 slot cars and only 1 FLY and if this is why
they cost to much and are not made any better then Artin for $20

everybody seems to be slamming these cars, and frankly, I can see why. They look like something you could buy at the "Anything For A Dollar" store.
Add about $20 bucks worth of running gear (at retail) and they should sell for $ 24,95 at most. But I would be embarrassed to tell anyone that I paid that
much. Not very likely there will be any of these on my track or my shelf.

Seriously between these cars and the Playboy line.......and the fact that most Fly cars have bad running gear (compared to slotits and even scalextric cars)
and those horrible stub axles on the front, how are they making money again??

I have no problem with how they look at all. As soon as a company says "Yep, it's a beginner car", they're playing by a different set of
standards. No problem! If they want to paint it like Elmer Fudd in drag, fine. It hardly even has to look like the real thing, because it's a beginner
car. But charging what would be a premium price for Scalextric, Carrera, SCX, or a slightly lower price than Slot. It, Spirit and Ninco for these kiddie models
is just ridiculous.
I'll tell ya...fellas......you're gonna want more cowbell!

Well..... the guy that only wanted to be positive kind of screwed up. Let me try to be a positive voice. I like Fly, but favor a more detailed approach rather
than this product. I think most objections to this product are with the price, and think that this objection should be examined.
Lately I'm not strong with cheap Chinese products, including toys. I guess all the safety issues with Chinese products got me thinking about my place in all of this, and thought I should do better. My objections go all the way to the core manufacturing and political philosophies. Fly toys are made by regular workers in Spain, not economic slaves. If you dig working a guy, girl, or anybody in a sweat shop just so you can save ten or twenty bucks on a toy that is supposed to be fun, go ahead. I choose to pay more to support a non Chinese product, when possible. I'm proud of my collection of Fly products. I don't mind kicking down a couple of bucks if it's for a good cause, like giving the person who makes my toys enough money to live on and maybe go to the movies once in a while, or buy a kid an ice cream. Happiness with my toys is the bottom line, and I need humane manufacturing, including pollution controls, to be true to my idea of happiness. I don't buy as many slots as I used to, money is tight, but the ones I do buy are satisfying, and part of that is knowing that I am not funding bad practices. I admit I am biased. I was raised on a working man's wage, I am a working man now, and would not want to deny that chance to another, just so I can get the cheapest possible toy. |

Hey Guys
When is the last time that most of you have paid list price for a fly car ???? not even fantasy world is selling the regular fly cars at list , ok so they show this car at list . You get the point, complaining about list price when you never pay that anyway just sounds silly..... Why don't we just wait and see what they settle in at . |
