"these things are fun...every oval racer should have one"
Wise'r words have never been said, Harry.
I'm late to the party on these as I thought doing a chassis would be difficult.
After mothballing the 1/24th diecasts for a number of reasons, I still wanted some sprint cars that scale and since I had all the "parts" I ordered the kit.
Was thinking an Artin F1 chassis might do the trick, but since I wasted $$$'s on the diecasts I thought I'd try cheaper - and what's the cheapest form of chassis...popsicle sticks...and as it turns out using a regular S-can motor it makes for a perfect chassis as it's width fits both bodies like a glove with just a minor amount of trimming and took all of 15 minutes to make both chassis less attaching the guide holders (need to build and place the engines and do the bumpers to see where to attach them).
What's even better is that even with fat rear tires the overall width can be kept to 2.5" so they'll have ample room to run on any 1/32nd track.
