Hey, as for leaving the Friday Night Chat: Sometimes life/family takes priority! Speaking of the Friday Night Chat: I had a great time. Good way to relax and unwind a bit. Hope the others enjoyed it. We compared measurements of the Carrera CoT to the Artin Stocker chassis, talked paint techniques, talked tires, etc, etc... even had a bunch of BS thrown in for good measure! Among those that came and went, I think at one time there were 8 of us typing furiously. Hope to do it again next week. Andre Ming |

Yes, I'm using .020 white sheet styrene. Still need to do some final trimming and do an engine/header and some painting. It's built more to the
wheelbase of a midget, it's about 2 3/8"

Okay... it would be unforgiveable to badger you guys into doing something and not take part in the FIRST one... right???
Well, I don't have any honest to goodness slot "projects" going right now on account of no goodies have been amassed as yet. Sooooo... I'll post a pic of the disaster area I call my workbench!! Really, I was pleasantly surprised at how the camera minimized the actual clutter by cropping it out of the scene! The semi-sort-of kitbashed '55 in the background was an experiment to see if it could be made to fit the Carrera CoT chassis in the foreground. It can. Given that I'm Carrera digital, I suspect the CoT chassis will be my "basic" chassis for the upcoming dirt oval cars. THIS humble little work bench is where my Picaso's, my Rembrandt's, my Michael Angelo's of 1/32 dirt cars will be created! (That was total, unadulterated, and complete  )
Alrighty then... who's next?????

Have been working on a couple of projects this past week... a Sprint Plus Kit and a new 66 Impala bomber for the next SEMO Crash & Burn:
The Sprint Plus car is a lexan body.. I replaced the front o-ring wheel/tires with a set of MX fronts. Then used the decals from a sprint car kit from Dirtrack Racers. Have the wing kits ordered and hopefully they will be here next week to complete the project. 
The 66 Impala on an H&R chassis ready to create havoc! This is one of the Dirtrack Racers Inc modified kits. It already has the wheel wells radiused out ready for the big tires!

Been working on a mold for 1:25 sprint car tire. This is about as far as I got so far. Pour the first half of the mold Sunday morning and the second half
Sunday night, and hopefully the first tire Monday evening if all goes well.

Well this isn't oval track either but I got both of these Fly Classic's tuned up for some no-mag runnin, so far I'm pleased with the results. I
started em last evening and finished this morning.
