Really nice looking track there. I really like the copper tape on it.

Looks good! And the design has a great balance of technical and straights to "air things out"

Nice balance for "real" racing there. Keep us posted when it's done. Matthew
Shelf queens...I've heard of those, but I bought it to race it, not look at it.

Joe, Track looks great. I just got started today building my first track after nearly 40 years. I've been planning it now for around 5 years. Just recently
got the room to do a track in. I am really cluless on doing elevation changes. In you first picture looks as if you have cut various sizes of wood blocks.
I'm not wanting drastice elevation changes. Just enough to enhance my layout. I'm using Carrera track and it's going to b2 two lanes. If you go to
the Layout board and look at the track being build by Tom Setzer, I have pretty much duplicated it on a 16 X 11 ft. table. Some more detailed pictures of how
you did those step up blocks would be greatly appreciated. Please also shar any insight and suggestions you have for making the changes gradual ennough so
there is little or no bowing of track.
Thanks, Griff All suggestions and refferences appreciated. |
