My EVO 2 seems to run better than my 3. However, both seem to be pretty good non-mag runners once you get good rubber on them! I had a problem stripping the
crown and replaced it with a slot-it piece after a little filing! It seems to run fantastic now. Not as good as most slot-its or any NSR, but still good!

I have one. with a little tuning, it's a pretty good car. The stock tires run reasonably well on my wood track, but I think that I'm going to replace
them with Tru Grips, if they are available in that size.
When I first got it, all the body parts rattled and buzzed while running, but a line of pva adhesive around the windshield and everything else solved that. One time it came to a screaching halt on the track... the crown gear was frozen or jammed with the pinion. Took it apart, freed it up and ran it with toothpaste on the gears for a half an hour at 9 volts. It runs smooth & quiet now but if the gears give me more problems, I'll replace them with real ones from Slot.it.

Yep, good car, but I'd expect the gears to go south. For a while, these were considered to be one of the hot setups.
I'll tell ya...fellas......you're gonna want more cowbell!

The motor needs to be secured-hotglued in, it tends to twist itself out of the cradle.
Ortmann Sloter sized tires will get under the rear arches, as will the "Slot.it 20x11" size. I've ran mine with no weight. It's smooth and faster than you'd think. I'd also wager a better motor and gears on the rear might be a good way to increase the lap times. A good car to run non-mag to learn how to do it and train yourself, as is the Scaleauto Toyota. Fast, but still slower than the NSR Mosler and Scaleauto Toyota. test track times about 7.2, vs. a Toyota 7.1 and an NSR 6.9ish. Tuning might get you down there. Bob |

I do have Tru-Grips to fit this!
Here's the new Web Site. A few more tweaks needed, but it has the list. Kelly!
