In theory, the Spirit car should be a good one, but the daggone leaning chassis is very, very oddd and I've not had time to really tinker with both of my Spirit R5's to really sort them out. One's donated its motor to my Scaleauto Toyota...

The other issue are tires. it could well be that one of these cars has the best chassis and motor but the worst tires and it could mean a lesser car is actually quicker and well, really should not be. Will you be using the same type of tire on your cars!?!?!? *That* more than anything will ensure you have the truly best car of the lot.

At face value:

I'm not sure what the Spirit gear ratio is. I'm hazarding a guess it's over 3 to 1. But the motor in it is decidedly better than the other three makes in terms of torque and RPM. IIRC, the teamslot motor isn't very good, the SCX motor a hair better, and the Fly better than both of those.

Chassis-wise, I'd think if you sort out the tilting Spirit chassis, it should rock, literally and figuratively. But you'd need to make sure you're free of tire rub when it leans or contain the lean. Does the SCX car have the newer SCX pod? If so, it can't be too bad.

I understand yah don't want to buy one of them all to find out the truth and save the cash. I don't blame you one bit. But this is one car I don't have a scad of each to help you with other than the Spirit. Good luck with your project.
