Looks like ya got the broken teeth out OK. Just practice shiftin' at the right time and with 2-3 less teeth you'll get better gas mileage!

I bet they snapped on the backlash, those heavier-bodied cars will do that sometimes. My buddy had a '64 Impala SS he used to "rabbit" all the time, and he went through rings like poop thru a goose.  ..............................Blueaxe

I did something similar once in a 1965 LeSabre rag top I had.... Thankfully I had 2 buddies with me willing to help push it to a near by parking lot.
