So how many entries you have so far Bruce?
Haven't seen or heard from my close competition in last year's race ...

I put the NSR Shark in an inline Scaley last night after the COT Carrera just didnt seem to be up to speed. It ran a best 25 laps with the tires not glued of
1.04.57 best fast lap 2.48. So far the best for the #88 UPS Ford is 1.02.46 fast lap 2.45. SCX 1.03.47 fast lap 2.45. Every little lead in this older style
chassis but the car will barrel roll if you get on the gas to quick coming out of turn two and four. No matter how much lead I put on it. Had it weighing at
one point 4.5 oz. Think I'll keep the lead out and wait for the 25 ohm resistor to get here to make the final decision. This car maybe the speedway car
being geared 2.70:1 The Ford is geared 3.27:1 Slot.it 21.5K Orange endbell. The Dodge is geared 3:1 Slot.it 25K Yellow endbell. Bruce I noticed you went to a
higher gear this year 3:1 verses last yr wasnt it 2.6 or 2.7? I do have a gear puller ordered I want to test the 21.5 slot.it with a lower gear before I send
the cars to you. I am considering a 13 tooth pinion 2.76:1. Then I may just leave well enough alone.
Just out of curiosity I pulled the mag out of a stock SCX tonight just to get a base to judge from. Put on the K&D tires and turned 25 laps in 1.05.55 fast lap 2.55. Bruce you were right. Testing setups last yr using 16 volt Scaley Walwart caused me to put in a lot more lead than was needed.
