It's been a slow but sure process, building ACME SPEEDWAY, owner Mr. Willie Coyote has been working hard at promoting and building the Midwest's
newest short track, he's trying to attract local racers and possible convincing Nascar to stop by also, track is short and tight, but makes great racing,
just another example of "if you build it they will come". Track hot shoe and local favorite, Road "beep beep" Runner is looking forward to
a big year, track is progressing nicely and soon Mr. Coyote hopes to have it look as good as the one's he has seen here, a couple of pictures for now and
hopefully more in the near future, thanks for looking and God bless!

Outstanding....and nice work on the cars too. That old Rebel and the 29 car are great!

Thanks, the old rebel bodie and the 29 car I bought right here on this site, I can't find his name or I be glad to give him credit! the rest are one's
I have done, the Elmo car was for my 1st grandaughter, and I always like the kool-aid car.

Great start on your oval
One very good thing about a short track is you don't have to spend $$$'s on faster motors. By the way, Mr Lee's and Mr Hutcherson's cars were done by me...glad to see they found a good home.

The track and the cars both look great, and i really like the old coupe and sedan. what did you use to simulate the chain link fence and poles?

Thanks guys, the platform is two 4'x8' tables in an L shape, this winter I plan to expand to two 4'x12' tables in an L shape, the poles are
dowel painted silver, the fence is gutter guard, which I bought at a garage sale for .50 a roll, it's held on by the smallest zip ties I could find, I
don't know if anyone noticed the bleachers in the background, they are actually stairs out of the tech deck stuff that they sell for the mini scate
boarders, our local wal-mart hard them on clearance and I took a chance, bought a few and they work great!! As work progresses I'll post some more
pictures, thanks again for the kind comments, I know I have a long ways to go to catch up with the work you guys are doing on this site.

Who makes the 30's Ford coupe/sedan bodies? I watched that type of modified race at long-gone "Razorback Raceway" in Ft. Smith, AR back in '69!!! Could be fun to recreate them as slotcars. Andre Ming |
