Or, better yet, a 2.0mm OD / 1.5 mm ID shim and a regular pinion. You can get the tubing from McMaster-Carr. I have looked here and found nothing but 2 mm OD X 1.1 ID. could you please furnish a part # you used. Thanks ! |

Scalextric has a set of pinions (1.5mm) two each of 8-12 tooth for $8.95.

This might be a stupid question, but would Artin pinions fit on the shafts of these new motors? They are only 35 cents apiece.

I'm waiting for my motors from Al Penrose (BWA). I sent him a section of the tubing to test out, and he says it works perfectly. It cuts easily with a Dremel abrasive wheel, and can probably be secured on the motor shaft with cyanoacrylate (thread locker or retaining compound).
