I sure your talking slot cars. If you have no class specification, You could change the gears. What Kind of slot cars wizzard?aw?Tomy? I need to know a what type of track. Switching to slip-on silicone tires will improve most cars. Silicone on sponge tires are better yet, but they are expensive, do not last forever and are not a huge improvment over silicone tires. Modern magnet cars require some maintainence. You should get replacement pickup shoes, guide pins and pinion gears for your cars. What you can do to get more power varies from brand to brand. With Tyco cars you can put in a "greenwire" armature and polymer traction magnets for a good boost in speed without spending a huge amount of money.

It'll keep your hand warm and the resistor in your controller will give that nice toasty smell too. If you want them to handle the turns faster the tires are your easiest choice. I prefer Tomy track myself for the wider variety of track pieces, easier to connect/disassemble, and it seems to be a bit heavier construction wise. The super g+ cars included with that set should give you all the speed you can want. They hum along at quite a nice clip. ________ Insanity is only disturbing to those burdened with reality.

Tires are really the way to go, for $15.25 shipped you can get 10 pair of tires in 4 sizes. Only my best Tyco combos are a match for a stock Super G+ with slightly shaved tires. Plus all those super nice, cheap, and widely available X-Traction bodies pop on. The body clips to mount them are listed as included on the Super International box. They aren't in the box though, but if you call Scale Auto they will send them to you quickly.
