This is good to see.
I am planning a few new tracks myself...not for me, but for others.
Anyone else looking to re-build or start a new track?
If so, what are you goint to build?

Seem like a lot of folks are building new layouts, plus a host of other projects.

Already have a 2 lane banked carrera road course and a 24ft banked 4 lane carrera oval but is that enough? noooo I just took delivery of enough carrera track to build a 4 lane 55ft flat road course. |

As a youngster to 1/32 (not otherwise...) I've initially got an area of about 12 x 6 avilable out in the garage for a road course. I take it that
Scalextric (track I am buying gradually) has a free track planner on their site? My initial thought was to take a Model Car Racing mag 5 x 9 plan and extend
things a bit for longer straights. Anyone have a plan for Watkins Glen in 12 x 6??

Having just sold my track (my second one), I have no choice but to make a couple more. Previously, I had built oval/roadcourse combos (we call them Rovals
). But this time I think I'm going to make a portable oval and a
separate semi-portable roadcourse.
But first, I have to rout at least one track for another guy before I can start mine...
So if you happen to be looking at a satellite picture of earth this summer and see a cloud of wood dust in the New England area, that'll be where I live...

I just finished laying track on three 4x8 sheets. I have two end to end to give me a 15' straight and one along side to make 8' wide at one end. I
tried to post some pics but did something wrong as they didn't show up on my post in the track forum.

I'd be happy if everything that has been happening to drain my track budget...well, would just stop.
I'd be happy with getting my 4 laner done sometime before the end of summer...

My 1/32 track project has finally started. I put the 3 new shop lights up in the garage last weekend - now there is plenty of light. I hope to have the basic
table built this weekend. This will be 4-lane SCX track on roughly a 6'9" by 20' footprint.

I just shortenedd the 16 foot straight to about 11 feet on my Artin road course and am going to build a work table in the garage. Then I'm going to build
an 1/8th (scale) mile drag strip. I have 32 foot of wood, and am going to have aproox. 21 for the 1/8th then the remainder for staging and shutdown. No glue to
be used and am still thinking about classes. My son has wanted one for a while so why not. Jim
