Finally got to build another one! |

I thought when you retire, you have more time to play! Not true with me; now I wonder how I had time to work. Anyway, I
got a little time to play with my cars and to do a little building. I have been wanting to do this one for some time and now I finally did. It is a 1/24 AC
Cobra hard body model kit with a scratch brass chassis. The motor is a $1 motor, the front wheels and tires came from the model kit, and the back wheels and
tires are Daytona Stockers with the model wheel inserts. The paint is Fusion with Future clear coating. Amazingly enough it runs real well on my routed track
without silicone coating the tires. I may do it anyway though. It won't see much track time because it is a little delicate but I crank it up for some
solo passes! Now on to the next one. Thanks for looking!

There has never been a more beautiful automobile than the FIA Cobra IMHO. Your rendition certainly does it justice. Mike A

Very cool. That's one of my favorite cars especially in red.

Best looking Cobra slot car I've seen... it looks right!
Anyone can restore a classic car, but it takes a real Hotrodder to cut one up and make it cool!

Rocky,
I used to drive past Archway Ford every morning when I worked for Sears. I never saw one of those. If I had, I would have been late for work more than I was. Where did you get the decal? Or, did you make your own? Frank

Thanks guys! | ||

Thanks guys for all the kind words! The car was a lot of fun to build. Frank, the decals came in the model car kit. I wanted to keep the decals simple and
understated. I think it has just enough.
Now on to my next build; a 1/25th scale '57 Corvette flip nosed gasser. That should be different!

The car is so sweeet. Which Cobra kit did you use? There are so many out there to choose from. Yours looks fantastic!

Coznick, it's a Revell 1/25 kit. Thanks for the complement!
