The 1/32 Street Stock series we are running up here in NH using Artin Stocker chassis has proven to be a great thing with a wide variety of bodies and I am
always looking for something new to try. I've already got a 78 Firebird and Dickie has a 68.. But I noticed that Boss Bodies had both 72 and 85 versions so
I decided to add those to my stable. I've been wanting to try the lighter weight clear bodies for while so I sent my order in for the 2 Firebirds as well
as some interiors and velcro.
The Boss website was easy to use and I hadno issues placing an order and paying through PayPal.
My order was shipped quickly and was well packaged.
The cars are all decent representations of the year/make/model they are sold as..detail on the lower edges is faint but these types of bodies are not about
detail..they are about sturdy, light weight slot cars that look good going around the track and these certainly qualify for that.
I used Elmers paint pens to put some color on these.. I know Boss says you can paint the exteriors just like a plastic model, but I wanted the 'clear
body' experience of painting the insides and the outside looking nice and glossy. It's not as easy as some people make it look, my numbers are sad
LOL.. But overall, they should look the part Saturday night when the hit the track at nhdungeonracers 900 lap Saturday Night Street Stock event.
Can't wait to see how they do this weekend~
I think I'm going to order the Regal next.. when I raced for real in the 90's I used 84 - 86 Regals
