Finally got to build another one! |

I thought when you retire, you have more time to play! Not true with me; now I wonder how I had time to work. Anyway, I
got a little time to play with my cars and to do a little building. I have been wanting to do this one for some time and now I finally did. It is a 1/24 AC
Cobra hard body model kit with a scratch brass chassis. The motor is a $1 motor, the front wheels and tires came from the model kit, and the back wheels and
tires are Daytona Stockers with the model wheel inserts. The paint is Fusion with Future clear coating. Amazingly enough it runs real well on my routed track
without silicone coating the tires. I may do it anyway though. It won't see much track time because it is a little delicate but I crank it up for some
solo passes! Now on to the next one. Thanks for looking!

Rocky, great looking workmanship on both the car and the chassis. I hear your pain on the retirement issue brother. My end day is June 15th of this year and
I already have a list of things to do that is an arm and leg long and none of it has to do with slot cars.
Regards, John

Hey Rocky
Why is it that when you want a car to race you build a Chevy, but when you one that just looks good you build a FORD. That's as "deep" as I can get today. Great looking car and it looks fast enough to beat a Chevy. Great chassis work. |

Rocky, Great job! I like the chassis. Those ProTracks will dry out way too soon. I like K&D's rubber replacement tires. Kevin has one as wide as the
Stockers with a nice Dunlop sidewall detail. He labels them as "Dunlop/Wide". I peel off the old dry foam and glue these on with Locktite Superglue
and sand them to size. They will, with a lot of use wear down a bit but they handle much better than the foam w/o messy tire glue. Dave Deuble ARIZONA GARAGE
