I heard there was a show on TV about how slot cars are made. Possibly the discovery channel, the person telling me about it had very few details, just that it was partially about the manufacturing process.

Their is a show called "How it's made" on Discovery. Maybe it was on one of their episodes.

I went on discovery.com and checked that, I found the show and a synopsis of each episode, no slot cars.
