Four-lane routed track with computer. Magnet or non-magnet.

I designed the layout to fit in my two car garage and it was very skillfully crafted by Bob Scott of Cruzin. It is built with five 4' x 8' and one 4' x 4' sections. The modular design allows it to be set up in various configurations and easily stored againt the wall next to my car. It currently resides in a friend's garage in the short course configuration I use in the summer with the garage closed and the A/C blowin' cold and two feet of walkway all around it. This is the same set-up we raced on at the 2005 Convention (1/32 Ninco and Euro Modfied Races). The track was set up in long course form for about a year at Bob's raceway where we had a strong turnout for several 1/32 racing series.

Power comes from a laboratory-type digital power supply up to 20v and more amps than we can use. Timing and scoring is a TrackMate 5.5 system and dead strip, wired to operate in either direction. Lap length is currently 57', the long set up is 95'. Lane spacing is 3" good for 1/32 but we must run the 1/24th cars on the center lanes, one at a time against the clock. The track surface is epoxy paint and the Magnatec braid allows us to run magnet as well as non-magnet cars. Even heavy magnet cars drift through the decreasing radius bank!
