I know that there are a lot of great items I've gotten recently and a bunch more coming that I can't wait to get.
Most of the cars I've ever wanted are or have recently been available. Occasionally I hesitate and then have to buy something a little above retail price on eBay but overall there's just so much stuff I like it's difficult for me to keep up!
For the first time ever the basics of our hobby are available: there's great affordable track, there is also the information and aftermarket items to provide good throttle control too and some other interesting accesories like affordable lap timer/counters.

Seriously, I look around now and see so much choice in this
hobby and I am amazed. And price, I own a 1:1 British sports car. as my other hobby. The costs differences between keeping my Triumph on the road and
maintaining a fleet of slot cars is big. Slot cars are cheap IMHO. If I had a complaint about slot cars is that the manufacturers rely too much on magnets to
keep their cars on the track to the detriment of the other aspects such as good tires and good guides. But hey, consider the source of the complaint. It's
coming from a wood guy.
