Informal Racing at Larry's Performance RC on Thursdays.
A few of us have discussed just showing up at Larry's Performance RC (586-997-4840 42246 Mound Rd Sterling Heights, MI 48314, - just north of 18 1/2 mile Rd) on Thursdays. This is not official racing, it is really just some informal fun track time, we are just planning on showing up to have some fun and Larry doesn't even know about it.
The cost for unlimited track time is $3.00
I can probably arrive around 4:30 PM.
For those that have not seen the track it is a large four lane Carrera track (I'll try to remember to bring some "grabbers") with adjustable power supply and hook-ups for controllers.
You'll need your own controller, an electronic one helps a lot but I use a 45 ohm which only works ok when the voltage is around 12 volts, if it's set higher an electronic controller is required.
I run all of my car in stock or "as received condition" (no extra magnets or silicone tires).
It would be cool if we had at least some similar cars, I suggest the following:
Carrera NASCAR COT - they are very fun to race on this track
FLY Classic - Ferrrai 512S, Porsche 917, 908, Chevron etc...
Scalextric Trans Am Mustangs & Camaros
