I read that Fly will be making smaller runs of their cars now...don't know if that justifies the $80.00 price tag...??? Guessing the production is still in
Spain.

To expensive for me. I will still get the two Riley cars though I like them and the three I have while not running the best are all pretty equal and make for
good IROC racing.

They have issues. So do a lot of cars we see. But, they can be tweaked to run pretty good without a lot of $$$ thrown at them...usually

Anybody know why some are overpriced and some are normal?

The Madness line is Fly's entry line not as detailed no frills car that's why they are cheaper.

I wouldn't pass them up if you like them they may not be as detailed but the Flyers cars were good runners. I have all three of the old DP cars and I can
tell you they are better OOTB runners than any of my normal line Fly cars.

There's no way for me to get around it, I need the Corvette. I just wish I could find the a1 for some kind of price lower than $2200 to complete my
collection.....

80 bucks is just to much money for a slot car for me.
Buy american owned and made as you can now see it matters.Your job does depend on it. |

I don't know... folks go out to eat and drop 100 bucks, take kids to movies and drop 60 bucks... go to a waterpark and spent a small fortune, yet all of
these things return no material goods; a Fly car can be cheaper than most of these activities, you can hold it in your hand, it can supply years of service,
perhaps become a collectible worth more than you paid, yet some claim it cost too much?!
I treasure my Fly cars... I baby them, I take care of them, there is something special about owning a Fly car, still produced in Spain by the locals as opposed to a mass produced chinese toy, sure there has been some flaws, things don't always go right when you hand build something... So... go ahead and buy the $30.00 cars, run the piss out out of them, have fun, but years down the road when you look at your display case full of broken chinese toys you *may* regret not having a few Fly cars that you babied and treasured. Just my 2 cents.

yeah the the Chinese can build better slot cars than the Spaniards can. That is what Fly has shown us.
