Once it will allow me, I'll post some photos. The 917K comes in the 3 bears configuration, soft, medium and hard.

I wonder who is going to take a Fly 917K, pull the guts out, and put them in the NSR chassis. I'd like to see how it performs under a Fly 917 body...
Last week I helped my friend stay put. It's a lot easier than helping someone move. I just went over to his house and made sure that he did not start to
load sh** into a truck.

That's all I needed for an excuse to buy a couple of these chassis. I have a Fly gulf Porsche 917/K that I have never been able to tune to my satisfation for non-mag racing. So yes I too am eager to see how well this chassis' will do under a Fly classic. My hope is that the Porsche will be able to run with my NSR gulf Ford MKIV. I have a spare NSR 20K shark motor that I hope will drop right in this chassis. Hey Bruce, how much will these chassis retail for? Live Long & Prosper, David. |

Remember you need a pod and other hardware as well.

If you want to put an NSR chassis and drive train under a Fly 917 body do the math.... I stopped at a buck 15 just for the chassis and components!!!!Is it
worth the extra $$$$ to get a Fly body with a little more detail and scale to run with an NSR??? I just recieved 2 917 Sandimans from England and they are
awsome...Got an exta one for someone in our group to enjoy.....

Nope, just the chassis, not the drivetrain. Take the Fly motor, axles, wheels, etc, and stick them on the NSR chassis with the pod, then mount it under the
Fly body. Won't cost much.

They sell for $8.95 and that does not include the pod.

Minimum = chassis and pod, but I do have a pod.

Umm, if you have a Fly 917, the cost is a chassis and pod. Ouch.

Or you could just buy an NSR 917, which is a VERY nicely shaped body

Sure, that's a good option.
I'm wondering, for all those folks who have boatloads of Fly 917's, if swapping the chassis will turn their car from a dog into a decent runner. I bet it helps.

So the 917 cant use the evo pod ? It is limited to sidewinder small can configuration ?

Rod, I was wondering the same.

I've got a red NSR sidewinder motor pod, does anybody know if this pod will work in the Porsche 917 chassis? The motor pod came out of a NSR Renault Clio,
same car as donated the 22K shark motor.

The red Evo pods will not fit. The pods in the Porsche and Ford are narrower and shorter. The old white pods are the same width as the Porsche/Ford pods and
about 5 mm shorter. The Evo pods are a different shape and the rear screws are about 5 mm further apart.
