For me this was a better fit, handling and acceleration. The 7.5 volt in the Ford is fast and acceleration is immediate.
For me, with 12 volts and 35 ohm controllers and the semi squirrely, stock everything Nascar, a little to fast I think.
The 9 volt motors in the F1's are fast alright, but the acceleration is slower, leaving me with
more control and of coarse the F1's hold the track much better anyway.
The difference in acceleration time is just the opposite of what I would have expected.
Anyone else have similar results?
One other thing about theses motors worth mentioning is the motor shaft is shorter than in the stock SCX motor. Compacts crown gear design allows for the motor shaft to extend into a groove next to the crown gear. This limits side to side travel of the rear axle and keeps the crown meshed with the pinion. With out this long shaft the RS motors are going to allow for more side to side travel and IMHO more undue wear on both gears.
