Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None I have an SCX Compact dual flat figure-8 in the infield of my Artin oval. Since the fig-8 contests are basically those of attrition, I'd like to run two cars per each of the two lanes. I have a couple of Lionel AC train rectifiers, as well as a pair of Artin PP wall warts. What kind of diode set up would I need? I have no PP Artin chassis. What do I need between controllers and track? I have two SCX Compact power tracks which I rewired to run with separate SCX wall warts. There'll be no lane changing needed in the fig-8. Nerf Also posted this on digital forum.

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tom, you will need one diode in front of the controller 1 for lane 1 and one diode for controller 2 for lane 1. same for lane 2. one diode in each car. car1 needs to be wired the standard way (traveling direction), car 2 needs to be wired for the other direction. you can use the number of power supplies you like. One for each car, one for each lane or one for all as well. So 1, 2 or 4 PS possible. should i make a sketch? will need some time, sorry.

I used Radio Shack 1N4004 Rectifier diodes as recommended by the AC2car website.. Other part numbers will work, their differences being the amount of amperage ratings. I assume that you are talking for cars, with four controllers and four drivers. You will need one before each controller and one in each car. Each car/ controller using the same lane will require opposite facing diodes. Mike A
